Efren Herrera kicked a pair of field goals and Kevin Nelson rushed for 117 yards with one touchdown and a two-point conversion to give Los Angeles a 21-7 win against the New Orleans Breakers.
Darrell Pattilo also returned a Matt Robinson interception 78 yards midway through the fourth quarter to seal the win for the Express.
Rick Neuheisel was 14 for 24 for 140 yards but was sacked six times.
Herrera opened the scoring with a 19-yard field goal at the start of the second quarter. He also kicked a 25-yarder with just 27 seconds left in the first-half as the Express took a 6-0 lead.
Game Notes: Breakers quarterback Matt Robinson completed just 7-of-29 passes for 137 yards with four picks and a late touchdown pass…Marcus Dupree rushed for over 100 yards for the second straight week.
