The San Diego Charges Tuesday announced the hiring of former Arizona Wranglers' head cocah Doug Shively as defensive line coach.
Shively, 45, a nine-year veteran of the NFL coaching ranks, coached the Atlanta Falcons linebackers from 1977 to 1982 before jumping to the USFL.
Shively played defensive end for Kentucky and coached for 13 years at the collegiate level at Virginia Tech, Clemson, North Carolina and Kentucky.
