Quarterback Mike Hohensee hit Mike Holmes with a 46-yard touchdown with 6:16 left to give the Washington Federals a 21-9 victory over the Boston Breakers.

The touchdown came two plays after Washington defensive back Jeff Brown intercepted a pass from Breakers quarterback Johnny Walton and returned it 10 yards to the Boston 46 yard line.

The loss was the second straight for the Breakers who are now in danger of missing the playoffs.

In other weekend action; Tampa Bay destroyed Oakland 44-7, with John Reaves tossing four touchdown passes, the Stars shout out Arizona 27-0, Denver blanked Los Angeles 20-0,  and the Blitz defeated the still winless New Jersey Generals  28-10.
