Knee surgery that was more serious than anticipated will sideline Orlando Renegades quarterback Reggie Collier for the remainder of the season, team president Mike Dizney said at a press conference on Monday.
Dizney said physicians who performed the arthroscopic surgery on Collier's right knee assured him Collier will have a full recovery, but that he will not be able to play for the rest of the season.The Renegades fell to (2-9) over the weekend after losing to New Jersey by a score of 38-13 on Sunday.
In other USFL news; the Oklahoma Outlaws improved to (6-5) after downing Houston by a score of 34-20 on Thursday, meanwhile the Baltimore Stars downed Jacksonville 21-14 on Saturday.
On Sunday the Oakland Invaders upset Birmingham 31-28 behind a three touchdown effort from veteran pivot Ed Luther.
