Sam Harrell rushed for two touchdown passess Monday night to lead the Jacksonville Bulls to a 34-9 victory over the Orlando Renegades.

The Renegades took a 3-0 lead on its first possession on a 25-yard field goal, the first of three, by Danny Miller. 

The Bulls led 10-3 after the first frame after the first Harrell touchdown run and a 47-yard field goal by ex-Renegade Jeff Brockhaus.

Jacksonville increased the lead to 27-6 at the intermission after Vince Evans tossed a pair of touchdowns, the first to Spencer Jackson and the latter to Greg Moser.

At the 9:27 mark of the third quarter, the Bulls upped their lead to 34-6 after Sam Harrell pushed into the endzone from four-yards out.

Jacksonville has now improved to 2-0, while Orlando dropped to 1-1. The game was played before a crowd of just under 32,000.

Rick Neuheisel threw for 302 yards and a pair of touchdowns, to lead (2-0) Oklahoma to their second home win. Wideout Duane Gunn hauled in both touchdowns and Allan Clark topped 100 yards rushing as the Outlaws cruised to the win.


Memphis Showboats 24

Houston Gamblers 19


Memphis receiver Willie Gillespie finished with a career-high 180 receiving yards with one score as the Showboats edged Houston by a score  of 24-19 at the Houston Astrodome.


Quarterback Walter Lewis finished with 416 passing yards on 22-0f-35 with two touchdowns and rushed for 57 yards. Derrick Crawford hauled in six receptions for 136 yards and one fourth quarter touchdown.


Houston pivot Todd Dillon passed for 304 yards and threw one touchdown pass to Scott McGhee who finished with seven receptions for 158 yards.


Birmingham Stallions 17

Baltimore Stars 26


The Stallions and Stars renewed their rivalry before a healthy crowd of 37,00 at Memorial Stadium in Baltimore.


The Stars were led on the ground by Curtis Bledsoe and Greg Boone who combined for 181 rushing yards and Tim Mzzetti who kicked four field goals.


Cliff Stoudt passed for two touchdowns and David Trout connected on a 27-yard field goal against his former team.


Tampa Bay Bandits 19

New Jersey Generals 27


Backup quarterback Matt Robinson, filling in for an injured Doug Flutie, threw three touchdown passes as the Generals moved to (2-0) after their 27-19 win against Tampa Bay (0-2).


Robinson connected with tight end Sam Bowers on all three touchdowns and Leon Perry churned out 155 rushing yards in the win.
