The Houston Gamblers Tuesday named John Jenkins, last season's special teams and backfield coach, as offensive coordinator.
He replaces Darrell 'Mouse' Davis, who left in July to become head coach of the Denver Gold.
The Gamblers also terminated the contract of June Jones, an assistant coach. Jones, whose status has been in limbo since August, went to Denver with Davis. The Gamblers earlier sought to retain Jones through a protest with the USFL.
