'86 Chronology-Grounded in Reality

Event Date: May 30th, 1986
Event Description: Breakers Blank Stallions

Marcus Dupree rushed for 196 yards and two touchdowns, as the Breakers stormed to a 24-0 win over the Birmingham Stallions. 
Robbie Mahfouz threw for just 92 yards on 9-of-17 passing with one interception as starter John Fourcade continues to recover from injury.
Buford Jordan ran for 52 yards on 13 attempts with a touchdown, while Tim Mazzetti nailed a 43-yard field goal.
Birmingham's Cliff Stoudt was held to just 75 yards on 9-of-22 completions and was intercepted, as the Stallions dropped to (7-5).
New Orleans has not lost since Week #1 against Chicago...Jerald Baylis tallied two sacks for New Orleans...the Breakers finished with 299 rushing yards.

Wow! I am amazed by the Breakers in 1986. I truly believed that the best the Breakers would be was a .500 team. I keep waiting for the Breakers Defense to fall apart, but they never do. Glad to see Baylis is playing at the level I always hoped he would.
