Record: 4-1

This week: at Oakland Invaders, Sunday 4 p.m.


Slipped back a notch after a tough loss to the Stallions last week.


(#3) Memphis Showboats


Record: 3-2


Last week’s ranking: #3


This week: at New Jersey Generals, Sunday 1 p.m.


Former Tennessee Volunteer Chuck Webb, 400 yards rushing, is again leading the Memphis ground attack.


(#4) Baltimore Stars


Record: 2-3


Last week’s ranking: #4


This week: vs. Jacksonville Bulls, Sunday 1 p.m.


Chuck Fusina was solid in last weeks’ win over Arizona with 260 yards passing and two touchdown passes.

Record: 3-2

This week: vs. Memphis Showboats, Sunday 1 p.m.


The only team averaging more points per game than the Generals, (28.4), are the division leading Maulers, (31.2).

Losing Marcus Dupree to a knee injury will not help an already struggling offense.

Veteran pivot Bob Gagliano has been solid since his return from the National Football League.

Veteran backup Frank Seurer brought home a win and filled in admirably for an injured David Klingler.

Rookie Mike Saunders continues to lead the league in rushing with 534 yards and is a critical cog in the Chicago offense.
