Newcomer to watch: Hybrid return man Sammy Martin will add some fireworks to the special teams.


Veteran to watch: Tailback Gill Fenerty returns to the team after a two year stint with the Saints.


Strengths: The talent at running back is second to none.


Weaknesses: The defensive line failed to deliver a consistent pass rush for much of last season.


Reason for optimism: Quarterback John Fourcade played well after the team benched Bobby Hebert at the end of last season.


Cause for concern: The offensive line is gritty but somewhat over-aged.


Bottom line: Fan expectations will be high especially after the addition of star running back Marcus Dupree.
