Strengths: The Stallions have one of the leagues’ best linebacker corps.
Weaknesses: The Birmingham defensive line became the teams’ achilles heel toward the end of last season.
Reason for optimism: Former NFLer Terry Greer has been brought in to try and spark the return game.
Cause for concern: It may take some time for new head coach Walt Michaels to mesh with star quarterback Walter Lewis.
Bottom line: The fans in Birmingham are expecting a playoff berth this season.
